Variants
SO-1, SO-2, SO-7, SO-8, SO-9, SO-11 and SO-13 were all 10 cm sets that had slightly different powers and ranges.
SO-3, SO-4 and SO-12 (CXBX) operated at 3 cm but were designed to be as much like the 10 cm sets as possible.
SO-7M was designed for use on Marine reconnaissance cars.

SO was a family of surface search radars developed from the unsuccessful SE for use on small craft, such as PT boats and LCCs. The 7M version was a mobile set mounted in a truck or reconnaissance car and provided to Marine units by early 1945.
