U.S. 14 Naval District

Like other naval powers, the United States established naval districts as regional recruiting and fleet support organizations.  The 14 Naval District was responsible for naval facilities in the central Pacific, centered on Hawaii.  It was synonymous with the Hawaii Sea Frontier.
