Kofu (138.58E
35.66N) is a city in a mountain valley north of Mount Fuji, with a population of 102,400 in 1945. It was the headquarters of a regimental district of 1 Division.
Tachikawa Hikoki K.K.
opened a new plant here in 1944 where it was hoped the Superfortresses could not
reach. However, the town was raided on 6 July 1945 and 65% of the town destroyed.
