Hermes

Hermes (115.34W 44.90N) was a mercury mine in northern Idaho producing about 35 tons per year. It was a leading mercury producer for the United States in 1943.

The ore mostly takes the form of cinnabar desposited by hydrothermal activity in a fault zone.
