Kompong Chanang (Kampong Chnang; 104.67E
12.25N) was the location of a Japanese
airfield in what is now Cambodia.
At the time war broke out in the Pacific, the airfield was headquarters
of 27 Light Air Regiment with 23 Ki-51 "Sonia" aircraft supporting
the moves into Malaya and Thailand.
