Siem Reap (Siemreab; 103.85E
13.37N) was the location of a Japanese
airfield located about 140 miles (225 km) northwest of Phnom Penh in what is now Cambodia.
At the time war broke out in the Pacific, the airfield was headquarters
of 31 Light Air Regiment and 77 Air Regiment and based 24 Ki-30 "Ann" and 36 Ki-27 "Nate"
aircraft supporting
the move into Thailand.
