The Hitachi Ha-13
was a low-power air-cooled nine-cylinder radial engine. It was
known as the Type 95 in Army service and as the Amakaze 13 or GK2B
in Navy service, and may have been a development of the French Salmson A9. The joint
designation was [Ha-23]13, indication a bore of 140 mm and a
stroke of 150 mm, but also indicating an inline engine, contrary
to photographs of aircraft using the engine.
