Iman (Dal'nerechensk; 133.72E
45.93N) is a city and rail junction near the Russian border with eastern Manchuria. Here the
Trans-Siberian Railroad came within artillery range of the Japanese fortifications at Hutou, whose isolation became an important
objective of the Manchurian offensive of August 1945.
