(146.421E 42.316S) An ambitious hydroelectric scheme on the island of Tasmania, Tarraleah had three of its six generators online before the war. These had a combined generation capacity of 45 gigawatts. Installation of the remaining generators was put on hold due to the wartime labor shortage.
