Alliford Bay (131.982W
53.203N) was the location of an airfield
on Moresby Island off the west coast of Canada. It was the base for 6
Squadron with 12 Shark when war broke out in the Pacific. The airfield was protected by a single infantry company from the battalion at Prince Rupert.
