Fort Lawton (122.42W
47.66N) guarded the approaches to the southern ports of Puget
Sound. It was headquarters of 2
Interceptor Command when war broke out and seems to have been
equippd with radar, likely an SCR-270, at that
time. The fort was a marshalling point for many units headed to the
Pacific throughout the war.
