In December 1941, Hailang (129.23E 44.30N) was a major Japanese airfield complex in eastern Manchuria, which included the airfield at Wen-chung. 13 Air Brigade was headquartered here, and the airfields based 85 Air Regiment and 87 Air Regiment with 72 Ki-27 "Nate" and 28 Independent Air Regiment with 20 C5M2 "Babs".
