Kirun (Keelung; 121.75E 25.15N) is a port on the northern coast of Formosa (Taiwan). When war broke out, the second echelon of 48 Division was here, embarked on nineteen transports for the invasion of the Philippines. The port itself was protected by a heavy artillery fortress regiment.
