Luke FIeld (112.38W
33.54N) was an airfield
located in Glendale, Arizona, just to the northwest of Phoenix. It was used for training of Army pilots.
This should not be confused with Ford Island Naval Air
Station, which was originally named Luke Field until the Army
turned it over to the Navy in October 1939.
