Okuma Masakichi (1888-1943)

Okuma directed the evacuation of Japanese civilians from south China after fighting broke out between China and Japan in 1937. He  commanded Ominato Guard District when war broke out in the Pacific. He retired in late 1942 and died in mid-1943.
