Savory, Reginald Arthur (1894-1980)

Savory commanded 23 Indian Division in 1942-1943. His division met and covered the retreat of Burma Corps at Imphal. Slim described him as "a tough, war-experienced and successful leader, proved in the Middle East, who understood the handling of men."
