Solunshan (Solunzhen; 121.28E
46.60N) is a city in western Manchuria, located in the eastern foothills of the Khingan Mountains separating the Mongolian Plateau from the Manchurian plains. The Japanese Army had an airfield here at Dubosi, covering one of two passes through the mountains.
Elements of the Russian Trans-Baikal Front overran Solunshan on 12 August 1945 and broke into the central Manchurian plain.
