Thousand Ships Bay (159.66E
8.42S) was an undeveloped anchorage
on the southeast tip of Santa Isabel Island in the Solomon Islands. It was
occasionally used by the Japanese as
a seaplane base or temporary ship anchorage from May
to August 1942.
