Vizagapatem

Vizagapatem (Vishakhapatnam; 83.30E 17.70N) was a small port in southeast India, with less than nine berths in 1942. It was raided by aircraft from Ryujo during the Indian Ocean raid of April 1942, which inflicted scant damage. One bomb hit the munitions ship Marine Maller but failed to explode, sparing the 2000 tons of explosives on board.
