Chang Teh-nang (Zhang Denang) commanded
the Kuomintang 4 Army
at Changsha during the Japanese Ichi-go offensive.
He was accused of abandoning the city
without a fight, and though reputedly on of Chiang's favorite
generals, he was subsequently tried and executed for cowardice.
