Han Teh-chin (Han Deqin) likely commanded 89
Army when war broke out in the Pacific. Dorn (1974) is
scathing in his assessment, reporting that Han's 24 Army Group of
20,000 men fled before a single Japanese
brigade of 6000 men divided
into two columns.
