Hikari Aircraft Engine

The Nakajima Hikari ("Light") was an air-cooled nine-cylinder radial engine derived from the Kotobuki by increasing bore and stroke to the maximum practical limits of the cylinders (16cm bore, 18 cm stroke for 32.6 liters displacement).

The Hikari was used in the B4Y "Jean" and D1A "Susie". The Army knew it as the Ha-8 but it was no longer in Army service by the time of the Pacific War.
