Nippon Hikoki K.K. (Japan Airplane Co Ltd) operated two plants, at Tomioka in Yokohama and Yamagata, that produced primarily trainer aircraft under license. These included the K2Y2 and K10W1 "Oak" trainers and K4Y1 seaplane trainer, but most production was of the K5Y "Willow". The only combat aircraft produced was the E16A1 "Paul."
Total production from 1941 to 1944 was 2882 airframes, of which just
59 were combat aircraft.
