Good commanded New Orleans at the Battle of the Coral Sea and Cruiser
Division 5, attached to Task Force 17 (Hornet),
at the Battle of the Santa
Cruz Islands. He came down with a severe case of influenza in October 1942 and had to
be evacuated to Australia.
