Kokuba (130.75E
31.722N) was a rail junction and the site of an airfield on Kyushu. The airfield (130.719E 31.802N) became a major kamikaze field and was heavy bombarded by B-29s during the Okinawa campaign in an attempt to suppress the kamikaze threat.
