Mishan (131.86E 45.55N) was the location of a coal mine in southeastern Manchuria. Production was about 1.7 million tons a year during the war. The area was heavily fortified by August 1945.
Mishan fell to the Russian
35 Army on 12 August 1945, against disorganized resistance by 124
Division.
