Yamazake Shigeaki (1893-1980)

Yamazake Shigeaki (Yamasake Shigeaki) was a veteran submariner who commanded Submarine Squadron 2 at the start of the Pacific War. He was transferred to command of Submarine Squadron 1 very early in the war, and reassigned to training duty on 22 October 1942, being relieved by Mito Hisashi.
