Yatsushiro Sukeyoshi (1890-1942)

Yatsushiro had a long career in submarines, including instructing Thai sailors in submarine warfare in 1937.  He commanded 6 Base Force at Kwajalein when war broke out, and was killed during Halsey's raid on the atoll in February 1942 when an SBD dive bomber scored a direct hit on his headquarters.
