Komazawa Katsumi (1892-1955)

Komazawa was involved in training for midget submarine crews from prior to war until late 1943, when he was given command of Submarine Squadron 3. He employed his force in commerce raiding in the Solomons and New Guinea area with limited success. With the near collapse of the Japanese merchant marine later in the war, he was reassigned to convoy escort duty.
