The Windsors were standard Maritime Commission C3 cargo vessels converted to attack transports (as standard type C3-S-A1.) They were equipped with 3 30-ton, 5 10-ton, and 2 to 3 5-ton booms and carried 4 LCMs, 16 LCVPs, 1 LCPL, and 1 LCPR.

None were lost in the Pacific.
